The Isle of Man in Space-Dispelling the Myths – Breakfast event on the 28th March
Our next event is titled: “The Isle of Man in Space – Dispelling the Myths”. We have been lucky in managing to secure a speaker from Government and one from the Private Sector who will provide an update on the space sector and filter the reality from the hyperbole.
Providing the Government perspective is Tim Craine. Tim needs little introduction to most of you in his position as Director of the Business Development Agency within the isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development from where he has been instrumental in the development of the space industry on the Isle of Man.
From industry Mark Guthrie has kindly agreed to share his experience of running a Satellite Company from the Isle of Man. Mark is the Managing Director of SES Satellite Leasing Limited, part of the Global SES satellite group. SES are a world-leading satellite operator, providing secure satellite communications solutions to broadcast, telecom, corporate and government customers worldwide and reach 99% of the world’s population.
